Last night we went to the deliciously lavish restaurant
Abe & Arthurs in New York’s meatpacking district. Having been before I knew I was going to expect gorgeous wine, outstanding appetizers, mouthwatering mains and deserts leaving you wanting more. However, this time I turned up - iPhone at the ready - to take a few snaps of some of the delicious delights that I managed to devour.
Abe & Arthur’s is the first restaurant venture of the EMM group owned by - what Forbes Magazine named them as - The New King’s of New York, Mark Birnbaum, Eugene Remm and Michael Hirtenstein. The restaurant has a 1940’s theme, with herringbone marble floors, antique bar stools and aged mirrors, which lead you into the main dining room. The beautiful decor is complemented by an equally beautiful crowd, and you'll often be rubbing shoulders with a celeb or two, with their A-Lister clientelle.
Isn’t it sad when you go back to a restaurant which you remember being so wonderful, and you brag about it to all your friends...well this was the total opposite and tasted almost 100 times better than the previous time!
After copious amounts of chit chat and even more sips of wine, dinner was served. We had an absolute feast! Blue Cheese Iceberg Wedge, Beth's Meatballs, Sweet Garlic Mash Potato, Grilled Tuna, Pan Seared Cod & Crispy Rock Shrimp...

The doughnut Ferris wheel is something I have dreamt about almost every night since the first time I had it. Freshly cooked and lightly dusted in icing sugar, they are mini balls of patisserie heaven. And I cannot forget to mention the squeezable bottles of filling that you have to stab the doughnuts with!
